The Karma Story

HOW WE BEGAN…

1990-1992 K .. Star Tee Shirt Graphics and new logo… Series Theme stars never ending become a star in your own universe with karma be a karma star..

1992-1994 “ what goes around comes around” out slogan tee shirt print this was the slogan used on all my labels tags cards etc using recycled paper for tags and unbleached fabrics we introduced hemp fabrics for an outdoor men’s range as street wear for men based on my own lifestyle as the role model for Karma clothing.as i was travelling a lot Surfing and snowboarding at that time.

I figured If I wore it and it worked for me then most guys would wear it too as it was very functional, that was the basic idea.

1994-2000 karma heart designs and new womens logo, where your karma begins and ends is in your heart, your karma is the outworking of you and how you art, this was the idea behind many new designs with this theme.

I also created karma girl the cyber animated super hero with a flying disk and a love gun. Around this time she had the hate, greed and lust dissolver gun, also my metamorphosis print, the use of butterflies as a symbol of change or renewal to enter the land of god karma; you must be born again to change age old principals in new karma graphics…

2000-2005 k.a.r.m.a my currently registered trademark logo .

karmaarmy survival gear k.a. 777 2000 a broad mission statement …to “effect an army of people who bring about world planetary change through good deeds and acts of good karma using weapons of mass construction, basically I was saying that with the way things are heading unless each person takes responsibility for their actions there is no future the respond 2 recycle 2 restore 2 rebuild ..”a cleaner planet for a better world” tee was about global change through individual action ..

The mode of my designs began to shift to a concept of preparing for holocaust . Karmageddon, if I had to run if I had to live in a tree or in a bus or a train what would be the most functional apparel?

2005-2018 its mellowed a bit cause I have and I still reckon my karma utility shorts cant be beaten for practical function and comfort. Some of my new stuff is a range of yoga wear and surf wear, loose fit drawstring pants and my karmarama signature tees paradise “not just a place it’s a state of mind” are based on my work with designing surf board logos in the seventies and studying kriya yoga and my surfboard shaping roots which is where i began making karmasurf surfboards back in 70s and denim flares but mostly designing modern retro surf shapes and clothing, and of course funky denim and corduroy flared pants.

yours in good karma Paul Spiteri aka karmarama….
